This is a clay pot that stays on the stove but can't be used in the ove
Okay, I needed a mid-size pot, so I decided to give this one a try. For some reason, the opt is a bit confusing to me. Don’t get me wrong, on the stove top it is a great little pot. Takes a little longer for the stuff to heat up, but on the stove it holds the heat very well. It would be good for stewing meats or soups, maybe even an asian-type hot pot. What is confusing are the handles. They looked like wood, but they are not. They are clay like the pot with wood grain sticker on top covered by some kind of coating. So I know why, you can’t put this pot in the over, that plastic or vinyl coating atop the woodgrain sticker would melt right off. i guess it keeps the handles coller on the stovetop so you can use the handles to carry the pot, but in an oven, it would be a danger. Now the lid. There are three vent holes in the lid that are permanent. So the lid will always vent. They are small pencil diameter holes so pretty small but the lid will never be a complete cover. Then the top handle on the lid, again, it is confusing. It says it is wood on the sales text. But I don’t think so. I think it is also ceramic, covered over by a vinyl sticker of some sort. Don’t get me wrong, it works well as a handle for the lid. But you can’t put the lid in the oven, because the sticker would burn right up. Maybe they put the sticker to make the handle less hot? I don’t know. But the handle is one piece with the top, it is not attached to the top. Which is why I conclude that the wood grain is just a fake sticker. So, if you need a stovetop pot that can only be used on the stove and never in the oven, then this is for you. And you don’t mind the fake wood grain stickers or decals or whatever they are.

    Good produc
It’s a good buy for the price. It’s nice looking and practical. The only downside is the imperfections on details, such as some spots on the lid and asymmetrical handles.

    Great for homemade soup
I used this to make chicken soup for my family. It kept the food warm for a long time, even after we turned off the stove. It also looks nice enough to bring right to the table.

    Very dense and sturdy!
I used to use cast iron cookware because common clay pots tend to crack easily.

I’m very happy that after searching on Amazon for a while, I finally found this one. I LOVE this clay pot! It’s made from a special material and feels very dense and sturdy.

The 4.7-quart size is perfect for a family of 3 to 5 people.

I can easily make a large pot of chicken soup, congee, or beef stew. The chicken soup made by it is amazing!

    Plus, it’s easy to clean!
