Love These Dishes!
These are super cute and baked on food washed off very easily with just a soak. I was happy to put these out for service and the handles make them easy to take in and out of the over. Plus they stack well, so they are easy to store.
While I loved these dishes (beautiful and great sizes), I need to share: please do not trust the handles. We were having a dinner for friends last night and I made au gratin potatoes (350 F for 90 mins – covered 1 hour, uncovered last 30 mins) and when I took it out of the oven one of the side handles broke off. Thank goodness I or others weren’t burned. Had to move quickly to get the cheesy potato mess off our hardwood floors as a lot of heat on the floor. Just a watch out that the handles are not reliable under weight and high heat.
This set is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. My dining room table has been upgraded. You will not be disappointed purchasing this. The red goes great with my decor!! Used it to make a large Mac n cheese, then a large apple cobbler.
I was hoping to get a casserole dish to fit into a beautiful black metal decorative casserole dish frame that I have. The original one broke. I love this dish, as it is a beautiful design. It just didn’t fit the metal casserole frame because of how the handles on this dish are placed, as they are a bit too far down from the top of the dish. I saw what the measurements were on the Amazon page for this dish. What I came up with is different from the measurements shown and here they are: For the widest part at the top of the dish: The exterior measures 14″L x 9 1/2″W. The interior measures 13″L x 8 3/4″W; the depth measures 3″ on the inside. If the measurement of the length includes the handles, I measured 15″L, total.
I love the dish, and plan to keep it, but would like to find an insulating holder for it to place it from oven to countertop, to insulate the countertop from the heat of it. And would also like to find one with a glass or ceramic lid for it.
