This was pretty tedious to assemble, but if it came preassembled they would need a bigger box to ship it in, and risk damage of the product.
The light settings are fantastic as you can adjust brightness, it says for indoor or outdoor use which is great as I plan to use it on my screened patio.
However, it is lacking a running pump for the three basins, and you must replenish and replace the water as needed. I am not sure how well the plants will grow without “fresh” running water, but we will see!
It’s easy to move around and relocate with the castor wheels, but beware it isn’t super steady so keep small children away from it as it could topple over. Overall we are excited for “gardening” with this hydroponic system.
I’ve had this 3 tiered hydroponic growing cart system for a couple of months. I was finally able to assemble it & recently planted the pods & seeds. Assembly was extremely easy. The instructions were user friendly & it took a total of 30-40 mins to put together. One of the best features about this growing system is that it has wheel casters so I can move it about as needed. In addition to the grow lights, I’ve been keeping it near a window with indirect sunlight, but once the herbs mature, I’ll be able to roll it across the kitchen & cut herbal clippings as needed for cooking. The water tank holds a generous amount of water, so it makes for easy maintenance. So far, this has been working nicely & seems to be made with good, quality products. The lights do have a timer, but not a separate timer for each individual tier. It’s jusb1 option for all the tiers together. So, you may want to stick to planting varieties that have similar grow light/sun light needs & requirements. The price point may seem a bit high, but many benefits such as the quality of the system, ease of use, and convenience of portability throughout the house, are just some of its features that make it a good value.
It took a bit to put this together, and the package is definitely heavy, so be prepared at delivery if you’re going to need help to move it. I’ve set it up and planted herbs so I can have fresh herbs all year. Can’t wait for my first harvest! I may need to look for a dehydrator if this works as well as I hope. The three tier (the one I picked up) has enough room for 36 seedlings. I’ve planted parsley, cilantro, basil, rosemary, oregano, thyme, and mint. And on the bottom I planted some cherry tomatoes and jalapenos. I love that it has a water monitor, it’s very easy to refill, and it’s on wheels so it’s easy to move around if needed. Timers for the lights to simulate any growing season you wish.

I have been trying to grow starts for some plants to go in my yard. I live in an area of the country that has cold winters and very dry, but not hot, summers with a growing season from maybe May 15 to the end of September, if that. I’ve been using a smaller hydroponic system, but with the number of plants I need (I’m trying to establish some ground cover) it will take me years to grow enough to do the job. When I saw this hydroponic setup I jumped on it! I’m glad I did! It’s very sturdy and well constructed with heavy parts and materials. It took maybe 20-30 minutes tops to assemble, and was easy to do so with the supplied tools. Using the supplied inserts and plant food, I filled up all of the “levels” and placed my seeds in the growing medium. That was a week ago, and using the lights on the automatic timer for a maximum of 12 hours a day, I’ve already got little sprouts coming up. I’m going to let these get well-established before I put them out and start another batch. If I can do 36 plants ever 2-3 weeks I’ll be able to cover the area I’m trying to plant with this ground cover (creeping thyme). I haven’t had to do any clean-up, but the covers and “bins” for lack of a better description are plastic and easy to rinse off and wipe dry. The included water level gauges are a nice touch, too, allowing you to see how much water is in each level. After a week in a very dry climate and there’s little to no change in the levels so far. I am super pleased with this hydroponic growing system and think it’s a great value for it’s quality, value, and ease of assembly and use.
Purchased this system about a month back and finally got around to setting it up. It was easy to put together just have to make sure you look closely at the pictures before assembling; took me about 30min and I did it by myself. Love that it’s on casters so was able to move it around without issue. The water tanks hold plenty of water and the water gauge is a great feature. The ONLY issue I have is I wish the grow lights were on separate timers so you could adjust for different seeds needs etc but I don’t even know if that’s a thing so wouldn’t take any stars off for that. So far I love this set up and can’t wait to harvest some veggies!
