I picked this up because I needed a steam mop for my stone bathroom floors. I’m pleasantly surprised at how well this works. There was a slight hiccup at the beginning because it was making noise but not making any steam. I then noticed that there is a metal ball at the end of a hose in the water reservoir that acts as a weight for the end of the pickup tube. This ball was stuck up in the top of the reservoir, so it just wasn’t picking up any water. Once I freed it up, it then started making steam very quickly and worked fine. I also tried it as a handheld using the grout tool and it seemed to work well at cleaning grout, although I’m a bit worried about the life of the grout tool. I only cleaned about 15 total feet of grout and the bristles of the grout tool were getting a bit splayed out and I’m concerned how long it will remain effective. My mop came with two of the grout tools, but I think the 2nd one was included by accident because the parts list only shows one. I think they should include an extra grout tool because it’s apparent that it won’t last very long, and I’m sure that you can’t buy replacements. Overall, the mop has a bit of a flimsy feeling, but it’s not used every day or for heavy duty cleaning, so it should last a while. So far I’m very happy with it.
Clean kitchen floo
Steam cleaned my kitchen floor really good. However I found it used a lot of the demineralized cleaning solution. The small container of cleaning solution was used up just for the one floor. Guess I’ll have to use just plain water.
