This is a beautifully designed helix wind spinner, just as gorgeous if not more so in person as in the product photos. It spins effortlessly and gracefully even in a slight breeze. It’s so shiny and bright that I almost don’t believe it’s fully copper, but we’ll see in time if a patina starts to develop. It’s a really nice size and though pricey, this is truly a standout piece.
Well constructed spinne
A nicely made and constructed copper spinner. It operates very smoothly and although it’s shiny now, I actually look forward to the change in patina as it gets exposed to the elements over time.
It doesn’t spin too easily but just enough so that it’s a joy to watch.
I would describe the thickness of the copper as about the same as a credit card.
This delightful kinetic wind sculpture from Stanwood Wind Sculptures has a unique design and is beautifully made. The wind catching vanes are surprisingly effective, providing rotational movement in even the calmest of breezes. They are made from copper along with the center post while the upper and lower vane brackets appear to be made from lighter colored brass giving it some subtle color contrast. The metals began to tarnish after about a week of exposure outside, but this just adds more character to the sculpture. The bearing on ours spins very freely and if the wind picks up, it will rotate quite fast. This is a tall and mesmerizing wind sculpture and from the hook to the brass weight plate, it measures about 31 inches. We hung ours below a light fixture on our outdoor gazebo so it also catches the light from that at night. We love this kinetic sculpture and even at around $120, it gets a solid five stars.
Beautiful sculpture if you have the breeze to make it spi
This is very beautiful in person. Larger than I expected, with a brilliant sheen and a lovely aesthetic. It was easy to hang with the hook provided. Our only disappointment is that it doesn’t spin. We do get a light breeze in the afternoon, which we thought would generate enough air to spin the sculpture. We will probably move it and see if that helps. If it does, I will update my review. If you a certain of having the appropriate spot for this, I wouldn’t hesitate. It’s very beautiful.

I am a bit underwhelmed by this product. It’s nice and well made. It just doesn’t turn very much. I still like it; just wish it turned more. It looks really cool when it does!
