WellBuilt Solar Lights That Will Be Perfect Once the Weather Warms Up
Even though it’s far too cold here right now to install anything outdoors, these solar street lights made a great first impression right out of the box. The build quality feels super solid, especially for something fully solarpowered! Not to mention having an IP66 waterproof rating will give me confidence that they’ll be able to handle our Northern Canadian weather once they’re finally mounted!

I also really appreciate that these lights comes as a 2pack — getting two full lights instead of one adds a lot of value, especially considering each unit uses 144 highefficiency LEDs and can (apparently) illuminate up to 800–1200 square feet!

The included motion sensor, dusktodawn operation, and remote control will make the entire setup feel far more premium than the price suggests! The solar panels are rated for high efficiency, and the lights offer multiple brightness and timer modes, which should make them easy to dial in once spring arrives and I can actually get them installed.

For now, they’re waiting for warmer weather — but based on the design, brightness specs, overall construction, and the little bit that I’ve been able to play with them (indoors of course) I’m looking forward to seeing how well they perform once the ground thaws.

Fanstastic emergency light that will withstand the harshest Canadian winters.
It’s been quite a while since I received a pair of these for testing and I am IMPRESSED!

Living in northern Quebec where we had an intense winter, this stood up to the elements like a champ and has earned its permanent spot on my deck!

Motion detection has worked in the harshest conditions and the plastic construction, surprisingly, never became an issue – simply be gentle when removing the ice and snow accumulation off of it and it’ll last. I never ran out of battery on the unit because I’ve been doing a good job at keeping the solar panel free of snow and ice whenever possible.

The only minor drawback is that, in order for the remote control to work, the user must be underneath the unit and pointing it upwards. If you are on the same level as the light, the IR receiver does not capture any commands and therefore this must be considered when installing the units.

The second one will be installed soon, as soon as the snow melts and I can get up on a post with a ladder!

Great for no power plug areas outside
The TekQrix solar street lights do cover a lot of area with its lighting even though it is smaller than some of the lights out there. As it has the built in panels you do not need to worry about placement of both the light and the panel. This allows you to have more options as long as the area has enough sunlight. So areas that were dark due to lack of power plugs are now a thing of the past.

Like many of the similar street light solar panels, the panel part is not as pretty to look at and there are gaps in the plastic and glass. So far, the others have not had issues in the months that I have used them which I would assume this one is the same.

The attachment poles are plastic and it comes with the attachment hardware. There are remotes that control the lights which come in handy when the light is placed out of reach to use the button on the light itself. The remote allows you to adjust the brightness, add a timer, adjust the motion timer method, and turn it on/off.

The plastic poles do make me a bit weary of where they can be placed as plastic can get brittle from constant sun exposure. The style of pole input has the option of placing it on a metal rod as long as it fits.

The pack of two works great it allows you to ensure the space is bright at night.

Solar feature works well, lights are brigh
These are great solar lights. Install took less than 15 minutes with basic tools. The overall quality is decent. They’re plastic so nothing overwhelming, but they are a sturdy plastic that doesn’t feel like they are going to fall apart. I have mine setup in my backyard on my shed and they light up that area pretty well. The solar feature is nice as I don’t need any power going out there, and even in the winter where it’s gloomy most days, the lights still charge up throughout the days. Motion sensor feature works well, and the light itself is pretty bright. Great little solar lights!
