This is a lovely white blanket, very comfortable and perfect for summer and also winter with extra blankets. I haven’t washed it yet, hoping it gets even softer. I’ll check back after washing. The weave is looser than I thought so I gave it four stars.
I love this throw blanket! I love the size, the weight, the softness, the warmth, the beautiful linen color which reminds me of a cozy farmhouse feeling.
I have several items from Simple & Opulence, from bed sheet sets, comforters, duvets and one other throw, all which are 100% linen, this is the first item I’ve gotten from them that is mixed 55% Euro Flax & 45% Cotton, and I have to say, I like it just as well. All of their products that ai have received have all been great quality!
I do treat it just like my 100% linen when I launder it however. I wash it in cold on gentle cycle and dry on low gentle cycle, using no fabric softeners in the wash and no fabric dryer sheets in the dryer, only wool balls as I do with all our laundry, making it very easy to launder together with my other linen throws or sheets.
If you like a soft, warm & cozy yet light weight throw, this is a nice value and quality for the money.
The fabric feels soft and breathable, which is great for warmer nights, but it’s not as soft or cozy as I was hoping. The texture is a bit rougher than some other linen blankets I’ve tried, and while I understand linen gets softer with time, I was expecting it to feel a little more luxurious right out of the box.
The blanket itself is lightweight, which is nice, but I did find it a little too thin for colder evenings. It works fine for mild weather but doesn’t provide the warmth I was hoping for during chillier nights. The size is generous, which I appreciated, and it looks nice on the bed. simple, neutral, and elegant. And honestly, this feels like a curtain more than a blanket. The plus side is that it is heavy!
Overall, it’s an okay purchase. If you’re looking for something that works well in warmer temperatures and don’t mind a bit of texture, it might be right for you. But if you’re after a super soft, cozy feel, this might not be the best choice.
This cotton linen blanket is made of 55% Cotton and 45% Linen (the description states the opposite: 55% Linen and 45% Cotton). It is a nice and soft blanket made of 2 layers that are sewn together. The edges are well done, all the seams are really well done and it has a nice weight to it! Since it contains cotton and linen, it will become softer after every wash. The company Simple & Opulence clearly labels their products, and the certification is on the label itself, you can scan it or go to their website and review it there. It’s certified by OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 and this means it’s free of harmful substances and it was tested.
The size of the blanket is 104 x 90 inches – I got the king size, which is perfect for our king size bed. I already purchased two 100% linen blankets from Simple & Opulence, they’re amazing, so I thought I would love to try this blend of linen and cotton. The blanket definitely feels softer, but my linen blankets were already washed multiple times so they’re soft as well. The size is perfect and fits – we’re using this blanket on our bed for warm nights. The color is natural linen color, the blanket arrived wrapped in a plastic bag, and nicely folded. There was a slight smell – the natural linen type smell that is not chemical at all – I ran this blanket through the washer already (on cold and gentle cycle) and now waiting for it to dry, it’ll take a bit due to the cotton content, and I don’t own a dryer so everything is hanging to dry. I love that it’s OEKO-TEX certified for peace of mind, the natural fabric is breathable and great to relax under, and the blanket has a nice weight to it. I would highly recommend this blanket, sleeping in natural fabrics is much healthier!
