Outstanding quality, waterproof and very durable. 4 Star rating because extracting key from lock was not effortless. Used lock lubricant and it worked better. The mailbox looks great and I would definitely recommend it; especially if security is a concern.

My wife and I wanted a mailbox that would make it easier to give people directions to our home. No one else has a blue mailbox on our road, so this was a great option. It looks very nice in the rural landscape without standing out in a blaring way, like a white box or a novelty box.
It was easy to install but man is it heavy! I started out with the mailbox on a single 4×4″ post. It felt sturdy enough, but it looked spindly – like a Popsicle on a toothpick. The proportions were off.
I ended up adding a second 4×4″ post. I bracketed them together to look like a 4×8 post and it looks intentional, sturdy and proportionately attractive.
This box is definitely heavy duty. I don’t think kids will be batting at this one. The metal finish looks great and the lock works smoothly. The blue is like a deep sky blue – a little teal, a bit blue. It’s a good looking color.
We live on a busy street and on occasion are gone overnight. This well built and attractive mailbox gives us that extra layer of security. The quality is outstanding. Were able to use our old wooden mount.
I rarely write reviews , but this deserves some praise. Beautiful. Sturdy. Easy to install. I’m so happy. (Also the most affordable of options I was considering). You have to buy a post and put on numbers yourself but it was simple. And it looks so great!
This thing is built like a tank. Very clean looking with a nice finish that should withstand the elements for a very long time. There’s enough room for the postman to deliver small packages.
A drive-by mail thief isn’t going to be able to break into this mailbox. The easiest way to break in would probably be to drill out the lock, but it’s not a cheap lock so that would take some time and effort and make a fair amount of noise. It would be very difficult to open the locked door with a crowbar or other hand tool, and you’re not cutting the metal without an angle grinder. Again, lots of noise and more trouble than the average thief is going to go to.
Really, the easiest thing for a thief to do would be to drive into it and break the pole (assuming you use a wood pole) and take it elsewhere to open. You can mitigate that by using a steel pole set into concrete. Bottom line here is that installed properly, you’re probably not going to find anything much more secure than this.
As I mentioned, the lock is a good one and probably difficult to pick. Three keys are provided. Make sure you put one in a very safe place because if you ever lose the keys and you also lose the key code, you’re going to be buying a new mailbox.
Note that this mailbox is heavy. If there’s any question about the condition of your existing post, replace it. This mailbox deserves a solid, good-looking post. The pictured PVC post is from home depot, but I had to beef it up considerably as the cross-arm needed better strength. My wife ordered the PVC egret here on Amazon as well, and it adds a nice touch as well as the vinyl address stickers. Here are the links for reference:

For the quality and durability you get with this mailbox, I think it is an exceptional value. Mailboxes at the big box stores are greatly inferior, and not much cheaper.
Solid Heavy Duty Mailbox
This mailbox is a tank and very solid, heavy and well made. I have not tried the lock on it but it appears to be very well made and solid too. Finish paint is well done and I like the rough metal stipling as well. There is a flat metal frame that you install first and then the mailbox slots over that and is fastened manually from the inside—it would take a lot of effort to knock it off. Nice size and bigger than I expected for sure. The only weak point is the mail flag—its plastic and weak and with little effort you could break it off—I will probable disassemble the flag as I always hand post my mail at the post office anyway. Packaging is very well done and hard to imagine anytime it could get damaged in shipping. Definite 5 stars.
