Product description
I have had several brands of humidifiers. I also already own a similar Ailinke model that also has 2.1 gallon capacity that I used last winter, so I was confident when ordering this one. In my opinion this model is an improvement over the my previous model. The setup took almost no time at all as there is nothing that needs to be assembled, other than placing 2 AAA batteries into the remote and placing the top of the unit onto the base.
The fact that this unit has a 2.1 gal/8 liter capacity is a great convenience. It means you do not need to fill as often. It can run for about 24 hours on a fill. It is also easy to fill. You can leave the top piece of the unit on, or remove it and fill directly into the bottom tank piece. There is a clear vertical plastic built in to the storage tank were you can read how full the tank is.
The controls are simple and intuitive. There are 3 fan speeds for expelling the mist. There is a button that cycles through your desired humidity level. The unit will shut off when it reaches the pre-set level. The display tells you what the current humidity level and temperature is. There is also a timer button that will cycle through how many hours, 1 to 12, you want to set the unit to auto shut off at. There is also a a button to put the unit in “sleep” mode. This will turn of the display led lights so they don’t bother when sleeping in a dark room. Additionally there is a setting for “interval mist”. It will have the unit cycle on and off in either 30, 60, or 90 second intervals. I am not sure what the purpose of this is, my other Ailinke unit does not have it, but I don’t think they would bother with the expense of the addition if there was not some benefit to having it! All the functions are available on the top of the unit and with the included remote.
The specifications state that the unit can output 300 ml/hour of water vapor. Many manufacturers do not advertise the output of the machine and the most I have ever seen is a rating of 350 ml/hour, so this is very good. You can see how robust the output is in the short video I have posted.
This unit is incredibly quiet! I put on the highest output level and could here a barely audible hum with my ear inches away from the thing.
One problem I have noticed with other humidifiers is that the built in hydrometer is often inaccurate. They will report the humidity as higher than is is in the room, usually by 10 percent or more. I think this is because the sensors are positioned right under the mist output. I tested this unit against another hygrometer placed near it. The reading was actually a several percent lower than the other hygrometer. I think this may be, at least in part because the mist output on the unit is directed forward and the sensor is now placed in the back of the unit. I suspect this is an intentional design improvement The reading on the Ailinke was 53% and on my independent hygrometer the reading was 58%. One also has to account for variations between these hygrometers, they are both inexpensive and not of the highest quality. That said, in the winter when the humidity is low, I would much rather have the unit shut off with the humidity a bit above what I set for my ideal, instead of 10% or more too low.
I also tested the desired humidity level auto shut off feature. When I set the desired humidity below the level already existing in my room, the unit shut off immediately.
Ailinke claims that this humidifier is suitable for a room of up to 500 square feet. I have often seen manufacturers inflate this estimate. That was a problem I had when looking for a unit for my living room. I think 500 square feet is reasonable, but do not forget that ceiling height is also a factor. This should be perfect in a bedroom, but if you want something for a large living room it may fall short. Larger units are available including from Ailinke, but if the output in ml/hr is the same, I would not expect them to perform better in a larger space. Using 2 humidifiers might be a better solution in that scenario.
I am very pleased with this humidifier and I certainly feel comfortable recommending it. I expect it will keep my bedroom well humidified this winter, so no morning nose bleeds for me! I have not yet found any issue with it, so I give it 5 stars.
Quiet 8L (2.1 gal) humidifier with remote and diffuser tray
We use humidifiers throughout our home in the winter months otherwise family members get nosebleeds. This humidifier is nice and comparable to others we have. This humidifier has 8L capacity. It has a window so you can see how low your water is so you know when you need to fill it. I like that you can fill from the top. You just flip open the lid and dump the water in. The humidifier does not take up a lot of space and is quiet.
The humidifier has buttons for power, humidity range (40-90%), timer (1-12 hours), max-min (low, med, high), interval mist (3 patterns: it will spray then stop using 30s, 60s, and 90s intervals), and a sleep button which dims the display if you like the room dark. However, a little remote is also included with the same buttons if you want to control it with that. They do not include the batteries (take 2 AAA).
The humidifier has an essential oil diffuser box which is nice if you want to add a lovely scent to your room and relax. They also include a little cloth for regular cleaning.
The humidifier has a 1-year warranty.

This cool mist humidifier is for large rooms, a 2.1 gal/8L, fill at the top, which is very convenient. The window shows us the water level , has touch panel and remote control, timer, humidity level, aroma box for essential oil. Covers up to 500 square feet, up to 48 hours without a refill. The air is so dry in our home with using heat in the cold months and this humidifier really helps with this. This also comes with a remote control, 3 mist settings, 1-12hr. timer, auto turn off.
Great humidifier - long lasting!
This is a fabulous humidifier – I love that can set the % humidity and the water lasts a full couple days! Great quality, easy to fill without moving the unit or taking it apart! Overall a great unit that can cover my main floor on its own.
Quiet, Easy to Use, and Simple to Clea
This humidifier works perfectly for larger rooms and runs very quietly — it’s barely noticeable even at night, which makes it great for bedrooms or workspaces. The water capacity is generous, so I don’t need to refill it often, and the top-fill design makes adding water quick and mess-free.
What I like the most is how easy it is to clean. Unlike many other humidifiers I’ve used before, this one has a simple design that allows me to wipe and rinse the tank thoroughly without struggling to reach small corners. The automatic shut-off feature also gives peace of mind, and I appreciate that it’s safe to use around kids.
The build quality feels solid, the design looks modern, and the overall functionality is excellent. For its capacity and features, it offers great value for the price.
