The perfect display piece for dead space.
I recently rearranged my home office, and that included kitty-cornering the chair I have. The issue is that it’s a relatively deep chair, and it leaves a lot of dead space in the corner. I tried putting a large light behind the chair, but it just looked obtuse. I found this corner cabinet, and thought, despite the smaller size, it would not only look good and fill the space, but also serve as a way to display my Lego Botanicals without my cat destroying them.

PROS

It was as easy to put together as any simple piece of prefabricated furniture. the directions were as clear and precise as I could have hoped for, they were perfectly translated, and they included a very useful parts list and guide, and all of the parts were very clearly marked. All said, it maybe took me about 30 minutes to put together.

While it won’t support anything seriously heavy by any means, it’s sturdy enough to display some basic things. I have some Lego plants and a real plant on the top shelf to breathe a bit of life into my office.

There’s an actual cabinet at the base of the unit, it’s perfect for storing some small items. I use mine to store some cleaning supplies like microfiber cloths and cleaning spray, since I clean my office a little bit every day.

The LED strip that goes on the back of the unit looks REALLY cool, especially when my office is dark, it sets a really cool mood. It comes with a simple, easy to use remote control. There’s a few modes to choose from too, including steady colors, flashing, breathing, and smooth transitions. I wish there was a chase option, but I will survive.

CONS

There are some questionable build/design decisions. The way the magnetic door holder screws in is a bit wonky, since the screws that are intended to be used seem slightly too big, and damage the wing holders. It still works, but it seems like it could be an oversight.

While the cabinet is slightly useful, it’s not very big at all, so it’s really limited to what you can actually use it for. While putting cleaning supplies in there works for me, I would worry that someone else purchasing this might be under the impression that it’s larger than it actually is.

VERDICT

This is a really cool little corner cabinet that’s perfect for storing and displaying anything small and lightweight. The light gives a nice, nifty glowing effect in the corner, and it’s dead simple to set up. If you’re looking for anything larger or more sturdy to hold/display anything with some weight to it, this may not be what you’re looking for. Otherwise, this is very difficult to beat for the price.
