Lighter than expected
I expected this to be a lot heavier than it is. It is still quite sturdy, and the leveling feet are a nice touch. Value is okay, but I was expecting something a bit more solid for the price point. Either way, should function well for its advertised purpose, and very well for and outside end table (my intended purpose once I find the right piece of wood to attach to it).
Sturdy!
While my original intent was to use this for a traditional barrel, I ended up buying a spigot kit and installing it on a regular trash can. Now that I think about it, I probably should’ve used that for composting…. Anyhoo, this thing is great! It took all the guesswork out of what I was going to stand my “barrel” on. It’s sturdy, is really pretty for what it is, and so far has stood up to rain. Granted, we haven’t had a ton, but it’s kinda beautiful.
Easy to assemble, very sturdy
This took all of 10 minutes to assemble. It’s sturdy and strong enough to hold a water barrel once everything is tightened. It does need to be on a solid surface so you can level the screw-in feet. This is very light weight but with the cross bars and cross braces, it’s solid. At 24 inches across, it will also make a very nice side table or outdoor table if you put a top on it. I would give it five stars except I think the price is excessive for what it is. However, if you need a sturdy base for a rain barrel that you can level by about half an inch or so, this will certainly do the job. The threads to the feet are one inch long, so I wouldn’t adjust by more than half an inch if holding something heavy.
Lightweight and sturdy
This stand is a great size, very sturdy, and lightweight. It was very easy to assemble and is able to hold quite a bit of weight. Make sure, of course, that you have it set up on level, solid ground so it doesn’t tip over. I could see making a removable table top to use with this for occasional odd jobs around the yard.
It’s been outside since we got it and through many storms and I haven’t seen any wear or damage on it yet. Looks great, works great!
Solid and Sturdy
Very sturdy. Gets my rain barrel off the ground and lets me put a watering can under the spigot so I can fill it. Took maybe five minutes to assemble and was very intuitive. Has levelers on the feet, which really helps when placing it on uneven surfaces. I’m using this for my rain barrel, but this would work well for elevating any heavy item.
Great stand for a burn barrel or a water barrel
I used this stand to hold my burn barrel and it works great. Previously I had my burn barrel sitting on an outdoor cooker, but the sole purpose of the cooker was to serve as a stand to keep the burn barrel off the ground. I didn’t use the propane or heating element to ignite the fire, i just didn’t want to have to worry about the barrel starting a grass fire. This rain barrel stand works even better than my cooker as it is supported across the entire surface, keeping the bottom of my barrel from sagging or collapsing. This stand would certainly work great as a water barrel stand also. It is well built and sturdy. I love that it is rustproof. My burn barrel is a standard 55 gallon barrel and it fits perfectly on this stand. The legs keep it sturdy and stable.
