Product description

This thing’s a beast. In the best possible ways! It’s HEAVY, it’s multifunctional, and the seasoning’s pretty darned decent.
When I first got it, I soaped it up and put it into the oven. Then I added a thin layer of avocado oil and put it back in. When I went to bake my bread, I put the sling down first. The bread slid out nice and easy. Unfortunately, I should have turned the oven down before I did (I did a cold start and forgot to turn the oven down when it reached temperature), so things were a little too dark for me to share pics of the final product. But the bread, burnt as it looked, wasn’t ACTUALLY burnt, and the inner crumb was perfection. The crust tasted perfectly fine. It made me realize I could go a lot darker with my breads in the future.
Love the accessories, and that lid’s amazing.
The only thing I’d say is a slight issue is the hole in the corner. I think my bread didn’t rise as much as I had wanted because of the little notch that’s cut out. It prevents the steam from staying contained inside the closed unit since there’s not a tight seal. That said, I just realized I can stick a thermometer in there if needed… So maybe that design choice isn’t such a bad tradeoff after all.
All in all, everything was good enough that I plan on keeping this around for near-daily use. Love this piece. It’s one of my favorite recent items.
Its hip to be rectangular.
Love, Love, Love, my new cast iron bread pan. The inclusion of the silicone sling is also nice. I like that there is a small hole at one corner to let out steam or to insert a thermometer. The lid being able to be used as both a lid and a grill is awesome. Obviously if cooking bread in the oven that I want to rise above the pan, I won’t use the lid. However, the lid will come in handy if cooking outside with charcoal. I could put a small meatloaf or cornbread in pan, then charcoal on top of the lid. Setting the bread pan on a trivet will allow me to put charcoal around the bottom edge of the pan. Now I am getting hungry thinking of bread pan dutch oven coffee cake or even square biscuits.
This is a great cast iron cooker, it has so many uses. I’m a prepper and will use this for a long term power outage when we get snowed in up here in the mountains. It will stay on my soapstone wood stove for now. I also bake homemade sourdough bread and I’m so glad that it has the nonstick bread insert so my bread won’t stick to the bottom. It’s amazing that you can flip the top over and use it as a griddle! And I also like the fact that the lid has holes to let the steam out if you are making a stew. Also, if you look real close it has a picture of a bull with horns on the top lid. I actually have one cow and it’s a bull so this is just perfect. This this is so versatile, I’m glad I picked it up!
This little loaf-sized Dutch oven made a perfect loaf of sourdough bread for me. I was a little worried about using it with the lid on it when baking because I was afraid that it would push the lid off, but in fact, it just made a perfectly rectangular shaped loaf. You wouldn’t want to add really intricate scoring designs on your loaf in this because I did and once it hits the lid, you kinda lose your design. But for a basic loaf, this does excellent. I love that it came with a sling and a little trivet that you can put it on when you take it out of the oven. I was able to fit a 945g loaf of bread in this.
Perfect for camping, RVing, or home baking
This is a great little loaf pan for camping or RVing because it doesn’t take up much space yet offers a lot of versatility. While it works well for baking bread, it’s just as handy for making small quantities of soups, stews, or other dishes you’d normally cook in a Dutch oven. The lid doubles as a mini griddle when flipped upside down, which is perfect for eggs or sandwiches.
I also appreciate the extra accessories—it comes with a cork trivet and a silicone bread sling, which make it easier to handle. The cast iron feels solid and durable, and it retains heat beautifully, giving food an even cook and a great crust on bread. It can be used in the oven, on the grill, or over a campfire. For functionality, durability, and space-saving convenience, this loaf pan set is a great addition to any kitchen or camp setup.
My wife has been obsessed with baking sourdough bread, mostly in round dutch ovens, and wanted something for sandwich loaves. This cast iron pan works fine, though it is not enameled like her others, so it requires more care and maintenance.
The included silicone liner works well to lift loaves out of the pan. It feels thinner than other silicone liners we own, but it does the job. The lid can double as a griddle, but it is too small for more than an egg or two. I could see it being useful for camping, but not much at home. The cork trivet feels unnecessary since this pan is small enough that nearly any trivet works. I don’t see us hunting down this specific trivet to use with this pan.
At the current $70 price, I think it is expensive compared to enameled options that cost less. If the griddle lid matters to you, it might be worth it, but otherwise I feel this belongs closer to the $50–60 range.
I love this pan!
I hate wasting bread and this pan is perfect for a smaller loaf. It’s not to big and not to small and I love it! I love it so much I am considering a second and even a third purchase. Why ? Because I can make 3 large stuffed peppers and complete meals for one or two people easily and to perfection in it. The lid that comes with it, it ends up, has multiple functions in my kitchen and in my fire pit How I got along with out it I’ll never know. In addition it takes up little space, is stackable and looks so cute sitting out. If you haven’t tried it do, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend. …This is a true and honest review of my this cast iron pan, I have not been paid or cohurst in any way to to write this review. Buy with confidence!
Versatile cast iron is perfect for vegetarians
This cast-iron 3-in-1 pan bakes perfect bread but also naturally adds iron to my meals. That is essential for me as a vegetarian managing mild anemia.
The pan’s surface has a slight natural texture. Also, FYI, the lid had a few tiny scratches on the corners from shipping. NEITHER affects cooking but I wanted to point them out. With all cast iron (except the enameled types), rub a thin layer of oil after cleaning and occasionally do a full seasoning bake to protect it from rust and build a nonstick surface.
This is ideal for camping and ovens. But I have an induction top that makes this perfect for stovetop lentil and veggie stews! Acidic, moist foods like tomato-based stews absorb iron from the pan, giving food a subtle nutritional boost. (Don’t let acidic foods sit for long in cast iron after cooking thoughdon’t ask me how I know.) I cook this pan on medium on my largest burner.
This is easier to manage than my big, heavy Dutch oven. Its high sides and lid make it perfect for cooking for one or two people.
