This little thing is surprisingly great! It worked so well for our bedroom to get all the moisture out of the air, that we ordered a second one for our kids room. Great price and does a great job.
This 95-ounce tank dehumidifier has pleasantly surprised me. Besides being very elegant and modern, it perfectly fulfills its function of keeping the environment free of moisture. It’s quiet, easy to empty, and has a large capacity, so I don’t have to constantly check on it. Its design looks good in any space in the house and blends in with the decor. A practical and stylish purchase!
If you continuously buy Damp-Rid, stop throwing your money away and pick up one of these little dehumidifiers. This thing is the size of a typical bookshelf speaker. Just plug it in and let it do its thing. It removes & holds more water, a tad
over 2L, than you’ll ever get with any chemical type product.
In regular mode, it’s fairly quiet, maybe similar to a small personal fan or space heater, the only moving part is the internal fan. It uses solid state Peltier modules to condense the water from the air.
You can tap the sleep button and it reduces the fan speed to about the level of a computer fan. You can turn the ‘mood’ light on & off. It will cycle through the various colors and you can freeze it on a particular color. Real handy for use as a nightlight. And obviously you can tap the power button to turn it off entirely. It automatically shuts off once the water reservoir is full. In the time it took to write this review it had already began making the first drops of water in the reservoir.
Where this compact dehumidifier will really excel is in a closet or cabinet. If you have a camper or a closed cabin boat, or a vehicle that only sees occasional use by all means you need this! It would also be good in a tool room or if you have a gun safe with enough room to accommodate it. If you use it in a camper or boat I would consider buying a bulkhead connector and fitting it to the tank so you can attach a hose that can drain outside. That way it can run continuously without having to empty it.
Overall considering what chemical desiccants cost and the plastic waste generated, this is well worth the money.
This works perfect for my 2 bedroom apartment. Keeps the humidity in my apartment down, and helps keep the mold away. The auto shut off feature is nice (because I’m very forgetful). Its quiet enough that I don’t even notice it at night despite it being in my bedroom. For those who are extra sensitive to noise, it even has a night mode that is almost silent. I also love the light/stars design, making it look cute in my space without being an eye sore. It was easy to set up, and it is easy to operate and empty. Definitely worth the price!
Works well
It works. The reservoir collects water. Strangely, the instructions caution against moving the unit to empty it. I want to bring it outside to prevent moisture in the room. A removable power cord would help.
