ChooChoo Bathroom Wall Cabinet with Two Doors
This cabinet wasn’t supposed to go on the floor. It was born to hang proudly on a wall like bathroom royalty. But not in my house.
I’ve got one of those modern, minimalist sinks — the kind that sits lower than the career expectations of my high school guidance counselor. Standard floor cabinets (around 32 inches tall, in case you’re Googling) just didn’t fit. Everything I found was either too bulky, too tall, or too “farmhouse chic” for my sleek, dark-gray vibe.
Then I found this. A wall-mounted cabinet with the perfect height, the perfect footprint, and — by some design miracle — a pattern that actually matches the accent wall in my bathroom. Was it fate? Probably not. But was it close enough? Yes. Now, obviously, this thing wasn’t designed to stand on the ground — so I added little rubber feet to the bottom (from some mystery pack of gadget pads I had lying around). Boom: instant modern floor unit. Off the ground just enough to look intentional, and it fits under the sink like it was custom-built. So if you’ve got a modern bathroom with nowhere to put anything, and every cabinet you find is too tall or too ugly, do what I did: break the rules. Use a wall cabinet on the floor. Live a little. Add feet. It worked perfectly. And frankly, it looks like I planned it all along. (Don’t tell the cabinet.)
I ordered this cabinet originally and the delivery was rescheduled, but when it didn’t arrive on the rescheduled date, a replacement was sent immediately and it arrived promptly. I really appreciated the problem solving on this one. Building/assembly was simple and hanging it was also not a challenge. It has two large and sturdy shelves inside and stores a considerable amount.
As expected, minor manufacture defect in the shelf
Solid 4 stars. Biggest wish is if the mounting template had a ruler on it or guide for the top/bottom. Not terrible though. For sure a two-person job to mount. The included mounting screws hardware just didn’t seem adequate enough when you factor in the weight of glass / items inside so I bought additional #8 screws with drywall anchors. Assembly was easy, instructions are good, but the real reason for the lost star is the shelf on the right side just doesn’t sit level. Seems like a manufacturer defect.
