I love the bamboo rayon mixture plus cotton that this towel is made of. It’s extremely, extremely soft, like I don’t even have a word for it. And the softness really translates when you’re drying your body wet. It’s a great regular bath towel size, it has good grip and portability, I’ve already washed it dozens of times and it seems extremely durable. My only issue with the thickness is that it seems to absorb wetness, extraordinarily well, but it takes many more hours to dry than you would assume that it would take.
Looks and feels luxurious!
The Cariloha two toned bath sheet looks and feels luxurious. The oversized bath sheet is heavier than most and absorbs more water than the average bath sheet. Great value for the price!
The Cariloha Two Toned Bath Sheet in Laguna Blue is a seriously impressive piece of bath linen and at 40×72 inches this is one of the largest bath sheets you can buy for home use. To put that in perspective a standard bath towel runs around 27×52 inches so this bath sheet gives you significantly more coverage which is immediately noticeable the first time you wrap yourself in it after a shower.
The material blend of Turkish combed cotton and bamboo viscose is what makes this towel feel so different from your typical department store towel. Turkish cotton contributes that dense plush body and durability while the bamboo viscose adds a silky smooth softness that regular cotton simply cannot replicate on its own. The yarn is loomed to about 600 grams per square meter which is the sweet spot for a towel that is plush and absorbent without being so thick it takes forever to dry between uses.
The two tone weave is woven using a unique untwisted yarn technique that creates a plush bamboo ribbing effect across the surface of the towel. This is not just a visual detail but actually contributes to the absorbency since the ribbed texture increases the surface area that contacts your skin and pulls moisture away faster. The Laguna Blue color is a calm cool toned blue that works with pretty much any bathroom color scheme from neutral whites to darker moody bathroom aesthetics.
One of the standout practical features is the natural odor resistance that bamboo viscose provides. Regular cotton towels start developing that musty mildew smell after just a few uses if they don’t dry out fast enough but the bamboo fibers in this towel naturally repel odors and allergens so it stays fresher smelling for much longer between washes. That is a huge quality of life upgrade especially in a bathroom that doesn’t get a ton of airflow.
Care is simple since it is fully machine washable and actually gets softer with repeated washes rather than breaking down and getting scratchy the way cheaper cotton towels do. Tumble dry on low is the recommended setting to preserve the bamboo fibers and keep the towel in great shape long term.
The Laguna Blue two tone design also looks genuinely elevated and resort like hanging on a towel bar which is a small but satisfying detail that makes your bathroom feel a bit more spa like without any extra effort. Overall this is a top tier bath sheet that earns every bit of the five star praise and once you go this size and quality it is really hard to go back to a regular towel.
I am not a man who gets emotional about towels. I have been drying myself off with the same scratchy, threadbare, vaguely crunchy bathroom towels for years and I was fine. I was completely fine. I did not know what I was missing. I was living in ignorance and I was comfortable there.
Then this towel showed up.
First — the size. 40 by 70 inches. This is not a towel. This is a robe that hasn’t committed yet. I wrapped this around myself after my shower and briefly considered never taking it off. I understood, for the first time, why people own robes. I get it now. I’m not there yet, but I get it.
The softness is genuinely unreasonable. I don’t know what viscose is. I don’t know what Turkish cotton is doing here specifically. But whatever these two materials are doing together, they need to get a room, because the result is absurd. My current towels feel like I’ve been drying off with a piece of toast compared to this.
And it actually DRIES you. This sounds like a low bar — it’s a towel, drying is the job — but you’d be surprised how many towels just kind of move water around. This one absorbs. Commits. Gets the job done efficiently and without drama. Honestly more reliable than most people I know.
The odor resistance is real too. I’m not going to go into detail about why I specifically appreciate this feature, but I appreciate this feature.
Now. The weight. This thing is HEAVY. We’re not talking regular towel heavy. We’re talking weighted blanket territory. The first time I picked it up I briefly thought something was wrong. Nothing was wrong. It’s just built like it means it. And that weight translates directly into durability — this doesn’t feel like a towel that’s going to pill up and fall apart after six washes. This feels like a towel you pass down to your children. This towel will outlive me and I’m at peace with that.
Which brings me to the price. $60+. Sixty. American. Dollars. For a towel. Under normal circumstances I would never. I have a personal policy against spending more than gas station prices on bathroom linens and I stand by that policy. BUT — I am a Vine customer, which means I got this for free, which means I now understand completely why people spend $60 on a towel.
My only complaint — and this is genuinely my only complaint — is that now I have to go back and look at the rest of my bathroom and acknowledge that everything else in there is mediocre by comparison. The towel raised the bar. The towel started something. Thanks for that, Cariloha. Really.
5 stars. Would wrap myself in it indefinitely.
This is essentially the larger “bath sheet” version of the towel, and the size difference is very noticeable in a good way. At roughly 40″ x 70″, it’s designed to fully wrap and cover, which is especially appreciated if you’re on the taller side.
At 6’4″, finding a towel that actually feels like it fits properly isn’t always easy, and this one does. It’s comfortable, substantial, and just feels more like a full wrap than a standard towel.
The same things I liked about the regular towel carry over here. It has that slightly textured feel instead of being overly plush, absorbs well, and looks really good hanging in the bathroom. It definitely has a more premium feel than your typical cotton towel.
The one unexpected issue is that it tends to “disappear” if left out. My kids grab it immediately if they see it, which is probably the best endorsement I can give. It’s just more appealing to use than the other towels in the house.
That said, this is not a cheap towel. If you’ve got a full household, stocking your entire linen closet with these would add up quickly. But if you’re looking for a higher-end option for yourself or want a couple of nicer towels in the mix, this absolutely delivers.
Overall, it feels like a premium product, and for someone who values comfort, size, and quality, it’s a good value even at the higher price point.
We purchased these after buying some 100% cotton bath sheets from another brand that turned out to be far too heavy for us. These bamboo and cotton blend bath sheets are amazingly soft and look really great. The blend of the colors gives them a textured look. They are very soft and thick, and a great size. I’ve put them through multiple washes and dried them according to the instructions, and they’ve held up well. The quality seems to be great. We’ve now ordered these in three colors.
This bath sheet is absolutely enormous, and I mean that in the best way. It was so big that my son actually thought it was a blanket for his full-size bed at first. It didn’t quite cover the sides like a blanket would, but that should give you a pretty good idea of just how oversized this towel really is.
I weigh around 250 pounds, and this bath sheet wraps around me beautifully with room to spare, which is something larger bath towels often fail to do. If you’re a larger person, you will absolutely appreciate the size of this. It really gives that full-body wrapped-up feeling instead of leaving you tugging and adjusting a standard towel that’s too small.
It’s also incredibly soft and very absorbent. The material feels smooth and luxurious, and it genuinely gives that spa-like feel when you use it. Honestly, if I were smaller, I could probably get away with using it like a little throw blanket because it’s that soft and that generously sized.
Overall, this feels like one of those products that turns an everyday basic into something that feels a little indulgent. It’s oversized, cozy, and does exactly what a bath sheet should do, only better.
Pros:
Extremely large and oversized
Great coverage, especially for larger adults
Wraps around the body comfortably
Very soft and smooth feel
Absorbent and practical for everyday use
Feels luxurious and spa-like
Cons:
May be too large for those who prefer standard-size towels
Takes up more storage space than a regular bath towel
Could be bulky for smaller towel racks
Verdict:
If you want a truly oversized bath sheet that feels soft, absorbent, and luxurious, this is a fantastic choice. For larger adults especially, the extra size makes a huge difference, and it really does feel like being wrapped in comfort. This one definitely delivers on that full-body luxury feel.
