BoxWood Topiary Artificial 2 pk
We recently made the decision to cut down our last old shrub, she was 15 but she was prickly! They were there when we moved in and one died on its own but this one hung on, half dead from the heat front he brick, and half way up to the window, sticking out onto the walk. I hate cutting things down for no good reason, but I had had enough of getting scratched on my way by it on the walk. So down she went. Without her though, the space looked awful, but we don’t want to make the mistake of planting another one to do the same thing in 15 years, and I want to get some irises and plants going there, so I grabbed these to fill in the space in the meantime and I have to say they do look real! They even give you wired lights to put in them but I just left them as is.
They give you really good stakes for the ground and they have not moved even in high winds and they are shiny plastic so the hold up to rain. They are coated in something that smells like burned wood, but chemically, and this might be a big thing because I have some fake flowers that are smelly like that too at first. Though those are UV protected so it might also be that spray. Overall these look cute and real, and once I fill the space with real plants I think these will look cute in little pots at the door! Very classy and nice. They have not been through the summer yet though so I can’t speak to fading yet, here’s hoping they don’t! 5 stars
I was on the hunt for a way to perk up a planting area between our driveway and the neighbors, as they are having their wedding in their back yard next month and I don’t want our yard to be a distraction.
The stakes on these topiaries are solid and well-constructed, and they are large enough to give the yard a good burst of greenery. I showed a side by side of the packaged plant and after being expanded, and it doesn’t get too much larger from the packaged item.
It warns you to be careful when fluffing the branches and this is good to follow; even my gentle pressure caused a couple of the lower branches to bend down. The issue is the branches turn in the holes of the trunk. They can be twisted around, but I feel this is a real weakness if they are meant to survive outside in weather over time. I, personally, wouldn’t use them inside unless the plastic smell dissipated before use.
I didn’t need the light packs, though I may put them out at Christmas when we decorate, but a battery pack is a drag. I’d rather be able to recharge the lights, as leaving them on at night would run down batteries at a great cost, and I’d have to go out to click them on or off in any case. A timer would be nice!
Convincingly real no maintenance greenery. Stays securely in place.
I got this set of artificial Boxwoods by Olpchee to add some life to our outdoor pots in the off season. Overall, I’m really impressed by the quality of these boxwoods, they look convincingly real, fluff out to be quite full and the tri-steak base keeps them securely in place. I find the size to be adequate for my pots, but I would make sure you measure before buying. The greenery spans 14″ wide by almost 22″ high. The ground spikes came with protective rubberized tips out-of-the-box for safety, which was a nice touch. Easily recommend this set.
Quick note: The set includes two sets of battery (3x AA) operated LED lights with 8 modes. These are a welcome inclusion, work well and the battery compartment has a proper gasket for outdoor use.
Beautiful, but they smell!!
I’m giving this 4/5 stars for the following
1. Quality
Overall these look great. Instead of putting them in the ground, I took off the legs and have them sitting in a pot. The green is nice and hasn’t faded at all (it’s been about a month).
2. Easy to set up
I love that these can be put out in the summer and easy packed away for the winter. I don’t have to remember to water them lol!
Only con.
The smell!
I am not someone who is usually bothered by smells. However, these smell heavily of plastic. I actually had to put them outside for a day because it was starting to give me a headache.
Realistic
it looks incredibly realistic! The dense, vibrant green artificial leaves perfectly mimic real boxwood with nice texture and fullness.
It’s designed for outdoor use with UV-protected, weather-resistant materials — it has stayed bright and beautiful through rain, sun, and wind on my front porch.
No maintenance at all — no watering, trimming, or browning. It looks fresh year-round and instantly elevates my entryway and patio decor.

Great quality for the price. It looks high-end and expensive without the hassle of real plants.

Easy outdoor greenery
I picked these up to use outside once the snow melts since I’ve had zero luck keeping anything alive in that spot.
Right out of the box they’re very full and dense. They don’t look sparse or see-through like some fake greenery does. The shape holds well and they look good from a bit of distance.
Up close you can tell they’re plastic, and they do have a pretty strong smell when you first open them. I left them out to air a bit and that helped.
The material feels sturdy though, not flimsy, so they seem like they’ll hold up fine outside in sun and weather. The stakes are solid and make them easy to place where you want them.
Haven’t set them up outside yet, but based on how they look and feel, they should work well as a low-maintenance option.
