I love this light! Super cute and very functional. My plants are so happy. Assembly was easy. I assembled it with one less connector piece so that its shorter and closer to my plants, but I like that its a full sized floor lamp if I ever want to size it up.
It’s a good light, functions well and looks nice. The build quality is decent for the price and assembly is not complicated. The weighted base counterbalances the lamp head just fine. The included bulb is decent, I will likely upgrade to a higher wattage. My issue was with the switch, it comes with an inline switch with on/off and 4/9/14 hour timers. However I use smart plugs and switches for lights, and when the light loses power when on (with no timer selected) it doesn’t come back on. So I had to rewire it and remove the switch completely to get it to work with my smart plug. Other than that, happy with it.
UPDATE: 12/16/2025 In full transparency, I did not change my first review below. Two days ago, I changed the bulb to a Sansi 36w bulb. FYI Rufus, I did not modify the bulb that came with the lamp. Nonetheless, I stand corrected from the first review. Though the original bulb is bright, it is a warm bright. It did a great job of covering plants in the living room from the loft but I didn’t realize how dull it was making the room despite being “bright”. Once I changed the bulb, I was stunned!
This lamp covers the entire living room from upstairs with a wonderful cool white light. I tilt the shade in whatever direction I need (I love this feature) for extra plant coverage as needed. I have a loft home with a balcony and a ledge. When it’s dark outside, it makes it look like daytime inside. This is another plus because I have a fan with a halogen bulb which I never use because the light is so poor despite the fancy blades. This allows me to use the lamp as a source of additional lighting. I honestly believe it changes your mood because it changed mine and I feel like I don’t have to strain my eyes.
I did have to remove the white shade which is not something I would have imagined with the original bulb, but safety comes first and the Sansi bulb (36w) does get very hot. Though the base of the lamp is clumsy when trying to place it, I am considering purchasing another lamp since it has a timer, but only if the price is right. With a brighter bulb this item gets 5 stars so I added one. With the original bulb, it would have remained at 4 stars.

There is no way I would ever use this lamp without the white shade. This is my second Bstrip lighting and it will be my last. This light is so bright that it actually left imprinting of the little squares on my vision for a few minutes after trying to figure out how to adjust it.
At least this one has a timer, but again no dimmer. The pictures shown in the ad with the soft lighting does no justice to how bright this light is. There is one good thing about this lamp. It has a broad range so it hits lots of plants at once if you tilt the head. I am considering returning it or only using it on gloomy days. I have not decided yet.
This is a beautiful grow light that looks like a stylish floor lamp. Very sturdy and heavy duty; worth the money. The bulb is really bright so I wish it had a lower brightness setting but I did see they offer different wattage bulbs for a separate purchase. I also took out 1 of the rods to make it shorter and that works great as another person had mentioned. If on the fence, buy this b/c it’s nicer than any other grow lights I’ve seen. 🙂
The lamp arrived well packaged. It was easy to put together and well constructed. It’s sturdy and absolutely beautiful. The light is very bright and my plants love it as much as I do. I’ve been moving it around from area to area where it’s needed and because of that I decided to purchase a second one.
