- Q：Does the camera need to connect the power supply?
- A: Yes, it needs to be plugged into an outlet for continuous power.
- Q: Can this record 24/7 continuous to the SD card and still alert your phone when there is motion?
- A: Yes, it can be recorded continuously. If your Micro SD is full, it will overwrite the previous content, and you can still use it continuously.
- Q: Does the security camera detect any movement and will alert you? Will there be a delay in motion detection?
- A: No, our DEKCO security camera can set the sensitivity of the monitoring point. For wind, grass and other sports, it may not send you an alert. There will be no delay in our motion detection, and an alert will be sent to you immediately.
Update 7/18/26
One of the cameras (PTZ) stopped moving correctly. Motion tracking not picking anything up and now I’m missing video. Love the cameras, they had updated the AI with person capture..nice feature. But I still have issues with the loop recording on ALL of the cameras and I bought very high grade/top of the line cards for surveillance cameras. At this point I’d say they are clear visually but operational wise, I don’t want to swap out for another brand, so I guess I’ll have to buy more.
Funny thing is that I recommended these to my buddy and my sis and they have zero issues. Granted, they bought there’s a yr after..maybe I got a bad batch. One was replaced but same thing. Customer service has always been A1. But reliability has been extremely suspect.
I removed one start today because they are good but haven’t been operationally sound. Might be time to put up my 4k Reolink with spot light. Uugh

Glad I bought a 4 pack. I got sick so I couldn’t put them up right away..bought these in Nov 24, 2024. Put these up last month… Again..app is easy, configuration is easy.
Problem, because they are motorized, one already stopped full range of motion and that a bad thing. That didn’t last long. This is the only reason why it gets 3 stars.
Records video precisely, mine connected to my network fast and I used it on 5G with little issues. Sometimes they disconnect, but mostly just ask to switch the vid quality. Once in a while I will, but it runs great all day. I don’t know if the tracks/teeth on the ptz are bad etc, but not being able to have full mobility in such a short time is aweful and it wiggles on the base a little. It didn’t when Ist bought it. Doing it now. I’ll let
Would I buy again? Most likely yes. As the software gets better and it adds a few more features, it would be a big deal. It has parametric view it can capture if you set it up. Resolution – A+, motion capture is B+ (a little slow processing what it records) but is decent camera. I don’t know how long this one will last, but we’ll see

VERY happy with these cameras. Super EASY setup. EASILY connected following very simple, easy to understand instruction pamphlet. GREAT video quality on both regular and night vision. EASY to understand functions on the app. AMAZING for the price. Im buying more for the other side of my house!
Very good camera for great price!
This is an excellent camera, from a fantastic company. I purchased this camera while it was on sale, and after some underwhelming experiences with other cameras around this price-point, I wasn’t sure if this one would be good. But it is an excellent camera, with great picture quality! The 2k resolution provides a nice improvement over a 1080p camera.
Good things about the camera:
– Good night vision/IR
– Pan function
– Intercom (microphone and speaker) function through the app
– CloudEdge app works well
– MicroSD card slot for recording, not forced to pay for a cloud service.
– DC Barrel power plug (more durable than USB, and easier to extend over long distances)
One of the best features is that this camera supports ONVIF/RTSP. You just have to enable it using the app, and then you can connect the camera to a standard NVR or other software that supports ONVIF. I’m using it with Synology Surveillance Station and it’s working great.
When I first bought the camera, the panning control didn’t work from Surveillance Station/using ONVIF. I emailed Dekco and they replied to me and had a firmware update ready in less than 24 hours! After installing the firmware update with the app and reconnecting the camera, the panning control worked. Their customer support is AMAZING!
Since purchasing this camera, I’ve bought 3 more Dekco cameras (a 2K Pan/Tilt DC5E, and two 5MP Pan/Tilt DC5P). I’ve been equally (or more) impressed with these other cameras and can definitely recommend any of these models (DC4L, DC5E, DC5P) or likely any other camera from Dekco.
If you can afford the extra money, I would suggest either pan/tilt models (DC5P/DC5E) – it’s a little more versatile having the ability to pan left/right and tilt up/down, instead of just panning. But you can’t go wrong with the DC4L if you don’t need the tilt feature.
We ordered these in hopes to find an outdoor camera that didn’t need to be hard wired. We found it! The prouduct it is amazing. The app is easy to use and can be connect from states away. After having the camera for ten months, a sensor must have gone faulty. After communicating with their tech support, they made it right by sending me a replacement. There are many companies out there who would gladly sell you their product and then walk away. I was so relieved that this company sold you their product and then stayed along for the ride. Their customer support is top shelf! When you purchase this camera, and you will, you will love how easy it is to connect to wifi, mount in desired location, and then use for your security. I would say this is the best value around. You truly get it all! A camera with ease of access and picture quality that is easily readable.
Finally decided to install our Decko security camera, what a breeze. Down load the app and in just a few minutes it’s working and ready to mount. Comes with around a 10 ft electrical cord with worked out perfectly. There are so many options to this camera and it’s just a matter of tapping on what ever item you want or don’t want. You can have this camera do what ever you wish with ease. No subscription if not desired and it notifies you of any movement as you’ve elected to have. You have 2 way communication and even an alarm sound if needed. I’m amazed of what you get with this unit.
Easy to use and decent quality cameras
These cameras are easy to mount, the app is simple to use and the cameras are easy to install in the app. The visually are quite good and the controls for the cameras are simple. I bought several pairs. The only downside is they need an outlet fairly near. Otherwise, they are good.
Great Camera for this Price
I bought 4 cameras for the price of $169.
I decided to buy it not sure of how it will perform in reality. Price was cheap means quality not that good. I was surprice because it works perfectly what I need. I can monitor my whole house inside and out with just one app. Easy to setup and install. Probably will get another 4 when I need it. I recommend this camera
I don’t usually leave reviews but I have to tell you this camera is great. It was very simple to setup and install. Great picture and sound quality. App was easy to create account and is shareable with family members. You can watch live and recorded events. You get real time notifications when there’s movement and it rotates to follow the moving person or object. Definitely recommend. You do need to buy your own micro chip separately.
Very good product and was very easy to install, setup app and online, night vision works very well and provides good security for a home, video recording and durability is very good, I used sd cards froma old camera i had, formated and worked great.
