I ordered this on November 26th, arrived on December 1st, via USPS, left at our front gate, or I should say thrown down by the USPS driver instead of simply placing it on the ground (is recorded on our security camera system). The outer cardboard shipping box was a little banged up and looking abused during transit, not sure why as the air compressor is not that heavy nor is it an unusual shape. I did not open the box up to check condition of the air compressor until the afternoon of December 2nd, at which time I discovered that the bottom edge of the heavy duty cardboard shipping box was damaged, appears the box was drop on something with a sharp edge before shipping - but the air compressor metal case was not damaged.

I checked out the Bakon web site and discovered this item not being listed, nor any link for replacement parts or accessories or customer support, seems the only thing they make are soldering tools and accessories.

The fit and finish is nice, no sharp edges or burrs, nice finish paint, I do not know if it is powder coated or enamel spray paint, most accessories are included for immediate use (does not have adapter fittings except a thread to Foster Adapter), but the User needs to familiarize himself with safe operating procedures because the fan must be turned on before the compressor and fan turned off three minutes after you turn the compressor off, but the fan needs to remain on once it reaches a temperature of 70*C. I believe I need to purchase a 1/4” MNPT to 1/8” FNPT adapter (I ordered it from Amazon, still waiting for it to ship out), that should fit onto the threaded Foster Adapter that comes with this compressor.

I purchased this as a dual purpose air compressor, to add air in our vehicle tires, wheelchair tires or wheelbarrow tires (as indicated on the web site) in addition to filling my paintball gun. This air compressor does not have an air tank, so filling large volume low pressure tires is going to be slow going. The on line pictorial and included instructions are just okay (lots of misuse of words, spelling errors, incorrect context, etc. (not great but does explain the basic gist of things.)

The suggested MSRP is expensive, four to five times the cost of a name brand pancake air compressor. But my small 6 gallon air compressor is starting to die and takes forever to fill low pressure but high volume items, so I thought this might work for my needs (since the pictorial suggested as such).

The suggested MSRP is expensive if you are thinking it will serve multiple applications but mostly need to power air tools. It is not practical for my needs, have discovered that it cannot power most of my air tools, should have realized that since even my larger 60 gallon air compressor struggles when trying to power air tools that demand a constant source of air pressure. The work around for Users that require occasional constant air pressure is to hook up a portable air tank to this air compressor, then draw compressed air from that air tank.

If you are an avid paintball fanatic, then you will love this shoebox air compressor, is 110V AC and 12V DC so you can replenish your equipment out in the field. For me, I’m giving it a 2 Star rating because it is not able to power my air tools, example being the high speed grinder (which gobbles up air pressure fast) and it does not come with the adapter (I did order it) so the User can fill air on vehicle, wheelchair (I have two wheelchairs) or even bicycle tires. After researching, I believe I need to also order and adapter for whichever paint gun I order. I will revise my rating if I am able to use this air compressor to paint a couple projects. Does have a 1 Year Non Transferable Warranty.

I am a retired first responder and did have my own SCBA equipment, is only recommended to fill cylinders below 1 Liter, am considering picking up a small mini scuba tank for emergency use.

Note: I do have a need to paint our new hurricane rated garage door that only came in solid white, so will be purchasing a high quality spray paint gun that should work with this air compressor. I will revise my review once I have used this air compressor for other uses, as depicted on the web page.
