L35 Compatibility – L35 fits outboards and sterndrives from 100HP-425HP. It is compatible with all Evinrude, Honda, Johnson, MerCruiser, Mercury, Suzuki, Tohatsu, and Yamaha sterndrives on boats over 18 feet. Four different sizes available. Check chart for compatibility. Note: Select the R-size hydrofoil for pontoons up to 26 feet and 115HP.
Improve Performance – The skeg-mounted L-35 hydrofoil for outboard engines and inboard/outboard sterndrives gets your boat on plane faster, enables it to remain on plane at lower speeds and RPM settings which translates to improved fuel economy at the low & mid RPM settings. Improved handling and enhanced helm control are additional benefits aside from protection for the prop, skeg and lower unit gearing.
Shield Your Propeller – Our high quality, energy-absorbing thermoplastic compound is designed to reduce damage and costly repairs due to underwater impacts at low and moderate speeds. The included bracket system provides added skeg protection.
Protect Marine Life – Prevent wildlife death or injury due to propeller strikes. Hydro-Shield’s attachment to the bottom of your motor leaves manatees, sea turtles, and aquatic grass beds unscathed in the case of contact.
Easy Installation – This simple, two-step process can be completed in 20 – 25 minutes. The kit is Made in the USA and includes all of the hardware you need, including marine-grade Stainless Steel bracket system with bolts and lock nuts.

How did we get our start?
After experiencing Hydro-Shield's better planing, handling, fuel economy, and propeller protection firsthand, we wanted to continue the mission so we redesigned the Hydro-Shield and started production again in 2017.
