The position of the micrometer at this time is ideal for crimping that hose.

For the second time you use the machine with hoses of the same size, only apply pressure until the red light turns on: this is the marked and optimal position you adjusted before.

The main function of the micrometer is to remember and mark the position; You will have to adjust it repeatedly according to your hoses crimping experience, until you reach the ideal state you consider best.
