How do I install an air filter?
Our air filters should be placed inside the intake boot, ensuring a tight-fitting seal so that the filter works to the best of its ability, filtering out as much bacteria, dust, mold, pollen, viruses, smoke and airborne particles.
What if it's too tight to load into my furnace?
The air-tight seal of the filter is crucial for best performance. This filter fits MOST 16x25x4 in. boots, but unfortunately there are some boots that may not be compatible. Consult your owner’s manual for manufacturer recommended specifications.
Does the arrow point up or down on an air filter?
The arrow should be pointing in the direction that air flows through your system, which is typically the direction of the furnace's air handler or blower compartment.
What happens if an air filter is not changed?
A dirty filter reduces the airflow to your HVAC system and causes it to work harder. It uses more energy, which may cost you more money. It also might not be able to keep your home at the proper temperature.
Do I use the same filter for Heat and AC?
