• How do I find my correct size in Alex Evenings dresses?

  Measure your bust, waist, and hips, then use our size chart. Plus sizes are cut for a curvier fit. Petite sizes are 2” shorter from high point shoulder to waist and 2” shorter in length from waist to bottom hem – 4” shorter overall vs. regular sizes.

• Will this dress need alterations, and how does the length run?

  Most styles are designed for 5'5″–5'9″. Petite styles are cut for 5'4″ and under. Long gowns may need hemming for shorter heights. We recommend a local tailor for a perfect fit before your event.

• Can I machine wash this dress, or does it require dry cleaning?

  Many gowns are machine washable (in a delicates laundry bag), as dry cleaning chemicals can damage intricate details. Note that excessive heat might damage sequins too. Spot clean lightly soiled areas. Check the label for specific care instructions.

• Does the color look exactly as shown, or can it vary on screen?

  Colors are photographed to be as accurate as possible, but monitor settings may cause slight variation. Fabrics like chiffon and satin reflect light differently. Reviewing multiple photos helps set expectations.

• Are these dresses appropriate for a wedding, and when should I order?

  Alex Evenings gowns are ideal for weddings, galas, proms, and formal events. Order at least 2–3 weeks before your event to allow time for delivery, any needed alterations, and steaming before wearing.
