Great way to keep the water clean, keeps cool
So easy to put together! Older chicks are taking to it fast, not recommended for young ones as mine are almost 4 weeks old and about 6 inches tall so perfect for the nipple waterers. No more dirty water with shavings! Nice design, admittedly expensive but it’s going to be worth it! I’m curious to see how long it will last, but appears to be a quality product!

    Stops freezing wate
Keeping the water clean for my small flock in the garden is a daily chore. Setting this large container on its stand keeps it well above the mud, stopping the birds from kicking dirt into their drinking water. The plastic walls feel very thick, doing an excellent job of stopping the water from freezing solid during cold mornings. The domed lid successfully prevents the chickens from roosting on top and fouling the outside of the unit. Fitting the small drinking cups into the base required strong pressure, twisting them until the rubber seals sat flush against the plastic. Training the hens to peck the small yellow triggers took a few days of tapping them myself to show the water flowing. Occasionally, one of the cups drips slowly, creating a small muddy puddle directly underneath it. Refilling the massive tank from the top is much easier than carrying a standard bell drinker upside down. It reduces my daily maintenance time significantly, despite the occasional leaky cup.

Water remains clean throughout the day.
This chicken drinker was very successful and kept the water clean preventing it being filled up with straw and other debris. Also the large water dispenser was particularly useful! Very pleased as was a gift for a chicken fanatic!!

Keeps the hens watered for days
I swapped my cracked old bucket for the Omlet insulated drinker and within minutes the girls were queueing like kids at an ice cream van. Eleven litres is no joke, I filled it once on Saturday morning and didn’t touch it again until school run chaos on Tuesday.

Because the walls are padded and the domed lid shuts out light the water stayed as clear as my year six classroom aquarium, even with warm August sun hammering the coop roof. I went with the little red cups, mostly because watching my three year old imitate the hens pecking at them was comedy gold, but the screw-in nipples are stashed in the shed for winter. And the raised legs mean no more gritty beaks rinsed in the trough, happy days. One small aside, I did whack my head on the hanging chain first go, mind your fringe.

Quality feels solid, cleaning takes seconds, and at this price I’d buy it again without blinking.

Chicken Drinker | Large | Multiple holes | Great quality
This chicken waterer is clearly designed with practicality in mind, especially if you’re keeping poultry regularly rather than just occasionally. The 10-litre capacity is a good size, meaning you’re not constantly refilling it, and it’s well suited for small to medium flocks.

One of the standout features is the insulated design, which helps keep water cooler in warmer weather and can reduce the chance of freezing in colder conditions. That makes it a more versatile option year-round compared to basic plastic drinkers. It also does a good job of blocking light, which helps keep the water cleaner for longer and reduces algae build-up.

Build quality feels solid. The materials are BPA-free and durable, and it’s clearly made to handle outdoor use without feeling flimsy. In use, it dispenses water reliably, and the design helps minimise spills and contamination, which is important when you’ve got multiple birds using it throughout the day.

That said, it’s not the lightest unit—once filled, it can be a bit awkward to move around, especially if you need to reposition it frequently. Cleaning is manageable, but due to the size, it does take a bit more effort than smaller drinkers.

It’s a well thought-out option for anyone looking to reduce maintenance and keep water cleaner for longer in a coop setup.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood, could be better.
The water stays clean inside the reservoir. Chickens don’t always understand the nipples, so if you use the bowls you’ll have to clean them every day. I use a turkey baster.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersSo far so good!
Yep, it is a bit on the expenisve side for a chicken waterer but i think the pros outweigh that one con. But let’s be honest, unless you are DIY’ing your waterer, they all aren’t cheap once you get at or above 3 gallons in size.

It’s insulated and will keep water warmer and colder for longer. It has a bypass area on the lip so you can still put a water warmer in when needed, worked perfectly.

It stays so darn clean so far! I decided to commit and get my chickens to use the nipples, took maybe half a day for them to figure it out (just a dab of peanut butter on the nipple is enough for them to be curious and peck). that for sure helps with the overall cleanliness of the water but no matter if you use the cups or nipples, that water inside is staying pretty darn clean.

Using the nipples, there is less water waste from chicken shenanigans. This means the 3 gallons i’m putting in is lasting longer than my old waterer.

It’s been about a week and there is zero algae buildup. It’s been a bit on the cold side but even with my old waterer in winter it would get green and slimy in no time. I just refilled for the second or third time and it is still perfect. I plan on reassessing in the middle of summer when it’s really warm but I have no complaints yet (and neither do my chickens!).
