• CCTV 420TVL colour camera is fitted at the top of cedarwood nestbox. The Birdboxview nestbox is extra tall for full view of the nesting area. Camera angle and focus can be adjusted. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A CABLED CAMERA connected via an RCA/AV extension with optional HDMI adapter kit for newer TVs.
• Camera has microphone to hear nestbox sounds and IR for watching 24/7. The opaque plastic window in the side of the nestbox maximises available light for colour images when possible as camera only gives full colour picture in normal daylight conditions. Colour will usually be washed out or absent in a nestbox where conditions are darker.
• A ventilation slot in the base gives enhanced nestbox hygiene. The roof can be unscrewed for cleaning in autumn and plastic trunking down the outside protects cable joints in wet weather.
• To enable connection to SMART TVs a reduced price HDMI adapter kit can be selected for purchase with this item. Kit contains AV/HDMI adapter, HDMI connection cable and usb connection cable with separate instruction sheet

Our lovely Birdboxview nestbox is of solid cedarwood with V-shaped brown roof and tan coloured sides. Follow the straightforward installation instructions (included), turn on the TV and get a close-up view of roosting & nesting birds! Choose your cable length up to 30m and add a reduced cost HDMI adaptor for newer TV’s if required. Simple instructions are included for connecting up the system and for nestbox siting and maintenance. The 29mm entrance hole is suitable for bluetits, sparrows and other small garden birds and the taller shape permits full view of the nesting area. The slot at the bottom of the box gives drainage & air circulation for nest hygiene. SETTING UP: Colour co-ordinated cable ends of the extension cable plug into camera leads in trunking down the side of the nestbox. Yellow and white jacks on the extension cable connect camera to TV AV sockets (or to TV via HDMI adapter). The red jack connects to the 12v/1a adapter powering camera from indoor wall socket. The camera will switch automatically to IR (monochrome) at night and when light is insufficient (please note conditions inside a nestbox are usually quite dim). The roof unscrews for camera angle adjustment and for cleaning at the end of the breeding season. Further information is available on our customer website.
