  • Large duffel bag for everyday use and travel
  • Stowable, softly padded shoulder straps
  • Integrated storage bag
  • Made from recycled materials

Large multifunctional bag for all-round use: The duffle bag serves as both a transport bag and a travel bag. An impressive 65 liter volume swallows a lot of luggage for camping, sports and travel. Thanks to the stowable, padded and preformed shoulder straps, the CityDuffel 65 can also be carried comfortably over longer distances. The side compartments, which can be accessed from the inside and outside via a zip, keep your wallet, mobile phone and other small items within easy reach. With the padded handles on both sides, the bag can be easily loaded even when heavily loaded. Side compression straps ensure more flexibility – a mat or jacket can be quickly attached to the outside or, conversely, the entire bag can be compressed when it is lightly loaded. Carabiners and other objects can be attached to the daisy chain (outer loop). The interior layout is also prepared for all uses: You can either store dirty laundry, shoes or small pieces of luggage in the lower compartment, separated from the rest of the main compartment, or you can use the entire main compartment as one compartment – thanks to the sewn-in, flexible divider bag. This divider bag is also used for space-saving storage of the bag. The durable material mix of the CityDuffel 65 consists of a recycled polyamide and a polyester made from recycled PET bottles. The coated surface is dirt and water repellent. This makes this duffle bag a thoroughly versatile and environmentally friendly travel companion for many years to come. The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for an environmentally friendly, functional product made from sustainable materials.

vaudevaude

VAUDE offers functional, innovative, and sustainable products for mountain and cycling sports. In doing so, the family-owned company sets social standards worldwide. In cooperation with the independent organization Fair Wear, the outdoor outfitter is committed to good working conditions and fair manufacturing worldwide. VAUDE has been climate neutral in Germany since 2012 and with all products worldwide since 2022.

  • VAUDE has been climate neutral with all products since 2022! What does that mean?

In concrete terms, it means that we have taken the time to calculate our global greenhouse gas emissions for VAUDE as a company, including all products, and fully offset all currently unavoidable emissions. At the same time, we are continuing to reduce our emissions in accordance with science-based targets (SBTs) in order to make our contribution to meeting the 1.5-degree target.

  • What is the Science Based Targets Initiative and what are science-based targets?

The international Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) helps companies set measurable and realistic climate targets to reduce emissions. By joining SBTi, we as a company have committed to doing our part to meet the 1.5-degree target. This means that we are reducing our emissions and, in addition, have been voluntarily offsetting all emissions that we can't yet avoid since 2022. This makes us climate neutral.

  • What CO2 reduction targets have we set?

We've set three SBTs and submitted them to the SBTi. They are now under review and should be verified by the end of 2022. We will then be reviewed annually on whether we are meeting our targets.

    1. By 2026: 30% less emissions from the company vehicle fleet compared to 2019 (Scope 1)

    2. By 2030: continue to use 100% green electricity at the German company headquarters (Scope 2)

    3. By 2030: 50% reduction in Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2019, particularly emissions from material consumption and energy consumption in material production.

  • How important is it that VAUDE is climate neutral worldwide?

Very important! The most recently published IPCC report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change once again forcefully points out that climate change is a man-made reality and is progressing even faster than previously assumed.

The 1.5-degree target agreed in the Paris Climate Agreement could be exceeded as early as 2030 if things continue as they have been. We aren't willing to wait – now is the time to take action.
