Dead of Winter is an experience that can only be experienced through a board game.

This survival game revolves around the story of a harsh winter in an apocalyptic world invaded by zombies: survivors are grappling with their own psychological battles, but still need to find a way to collaborate to combat external threats, solve crises, recover supplies, and keep colony morale high.

Dead of Winter will often push players to make difficult, very varied and strongly contextualized decisions that will put them before the choice between what's best for the colony and what's best for themselves. The colony has a goal they are trying to complete, but each player also controls a group of survivors with a secret goal; often this goal requires a player to help complete the goal of the colony. At the end of the game, only players who have completed their secret goal win. The game can end in various ways: if the morale indicator reaches 0, if the round indicator reaches 0, or if the main goal is completed.

You breathe the air of paranoia right away and the randomness of events can destabilize the fate of the game making it always compelling.
