The waterproof and windproof double jacket is ideal for active women who are a lot outside. The breathable outer jacket impresses with its feminine and sporty cut and can be gathered at the waist. It is suitable individually as a rain jacket in autumn, combined with the inner jacket, it becomes the perfect winter jacket. Whether it’s raining, stormy or snowing, the women’s Skomer 3-in-1 Jacket II keeps you cosy and warm during outdoor activities and dry thanks to the Ceplex Active membrane. The hood is adjustable and removable, the high collar provides protection from wind and cold. The longer cut keeps the sensitive areas around the buttocks and kidneys warm. An innovative material is used in the outer jacket: a certified mass balancing process is used for the recycled main material polyamide. Pyrolysis oil is obtained from old tyres, which is supplied to conventional polyamide production: saving up to 60% CO2. The outer jacket has been environmentally friendly with Eco Finish: raindrops bead without the use of environmentally harmful fluorocarbons (PFCs). The fashionable quilted inner jacket with an insulating PrimaLoft® padding made from recycled PET bottles ensures pleasant warmth. The inner jacket, which is made from 100% recycled materials, is an eye-catcher in the transitional period. The Vaude Green Shape label stands for an environmentally friendly, functional product made from sustainable and bluesign® certified materials. In addition, this product is climate-neutral: emissions from materials, manufacturing process and shipping have been determined and systematically reduced. Currently unavoidable emissions have been fully compensated by the independent non-profit organisation “myclimate”.

From the brand

vaudevaude

VAUDE offers functional, innovative, and sustainable products for mountain and cycling sports. In doing so, the family-owned company sets social standards worldwide. In cooperation with the independent organization Fair Wear, the outdoor outfitter is committed to good working conditions and fair manufacturing worldwide. VAUDE has been climate neutral in Germany since 2012 and with all products worldwide since 2022.

  • VAUDE has been climate neutral with all products since 2022! What does that mean?

In concrete terms, it means that we have taken the time to calculate our global greenhouse gas emissions for VAUDE as a company, including all products, and fully offset all currently unavoidable emissions. At the same time, we are continuing to reduce our emissions in accordance with science-based targets (SBTs) in order to make our contribution to meeting the 1.5-degree target.

  • What is the Science Based Targets Initiative and what are science-based targets?

The international Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) helps companies set measurable and realistic climate targets to reduce emissions. By joining SBTi, we as a company have committed to doing our part to meet the 1.5-degree target. This means that we are reducing our emissions and, in addition, have been voluntarily offsetting all emissions that we can't yet avoid since 2022. This makes us climate neutral.

  • What CO2 reduction targets have we set?

We've set three SBTs and submitted them to the SBTi. They are now under review and should be verified by the end of 2022. We will then be reviewed annually on whether we are meeting our targets.

    1. By 2026: 30% less emissions from the company vehicle fleet compared to 2019 (Scope 1)

    2. By 2030: continue to use 100% green electricity at the German company headquarters (Scope 2)

    3. By 2030: 50% reduction in Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2019, particularly emissions from material consumption and energy consumption in material production.

  • How important is it that VAUDE is climate neutral worldwide?

Very important! The most recently published IPCC report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change once again forcefully points out that climate change is a man-made reality and is progressing even faster than previously assumed.

The 1.5-degree target agreed in the Paris Climate Agreement could be exceeded as early as 2030 if things continue as they have been. We aren't willing to wait – now is the time to take action.
