Awakens the wanderlust in you. The Miskanti 3-in-1 jacket is particularly suitable for trekking tours and hiking in cold conditions. The weatherproof 3-in-1 jacket has a windproof and waterproof 2-layer construction. The outer jacket is waterproof and windproof as well as breathable and can easily get rid of longer bad weather phases. More robust material has been processed on the zones that are heavily stressed by the backpack. The quilted inner jacket serves as a heat retention and can be worn as a standalone insulation bag if required. The padding made of PrimaLoft® Black Insulation keeps you warm even when damp, is extremely easy to clean and quick-drying. Depending on the weather and temperature, the jackets can be combined and offer many uses. This product is made with environmentally friendly, water-repellent Eco Finish without fluorocarbons (PFC). The Vaude Green Shape label stands for environmentally friendly, functional products made from sustainable materials.

vaudevaude

VAUDE offers functional, innovative, and sustainable products for mountain and cycling sports. In doing so, the family-owned company sets social standards worldwide. In cooperation with the independent organization Fair Wear, the outdoor outfitter is committed to good working conditions and fair manufacturing worldwide. VAUDE has been climate neutral in Germany since 2012 and with all products worldwide since 2022.

  • VAUDE has been climate neutral with all products since 2022! What does that mean?

In concrete terms, it means that we have taken the time to calculate our global greenhouse gas emissions for VAUDE as a company, including all products, and fully offset all currently unavoidable emissions. At the same time, we are continuing to reduce our emissions in accordance with science-based targets (SBTs) in order to make our contribution to meeting the 1.5-degree target.

  • What is the Science Based Targets Initiative and what are science-based targets?

The international Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) helps companies set measurable and realistic climate targets to reduce emissions. By joining SBTi, we as a company have committed to doing our part to meet the 1.5-degree target. This means that we are reducing our emissions and, in addition, have been voluntarily offsetting all emissions that we can't yet avoid since 2022. This makes us climate neutral.

  • What CO2 reduction targets have we set?

We've set three SBTs and submitted them to the SBTi. They are now under review and should be verified by the end of 2022. We will then be reviewed annually on whether we are meeting our targets.

    1. By 2026: 30% less emissions from the company vehicle fleet compared to 2019 (Scope 1)

    2. By 2030: continue to use 100% green electricity at the German company headquarters (Scope 2)

    3. By 2030: 50% reduction in Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2019, particularly emissions from material consumption and energy consumption in material production.

  • How important is it that VAUDE is climate neutral worldwide?

Very important! The most recently published IPCC report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change once again forcefully points out that climate change is a man-made reality and is progressing even faster than previously assumed.

The 1.5-degree target agreed in the Paris Climate Agreement could be exceeded as early as 2030 if things continue as they have been. We aren't willing to wait – now is the time to take action.
