It gives the sidewall on the heel edge more strength and agility, allowing for more precise heel side turns and butters. The medium width of the Optisym reduces resistance in the toe and heel area, which is important for advancing in carves, butters and flatland tricks. The asymmetrical Twin Shape and Dual Degressive Sidecut allow for endless control when carving and navigating the entire mountain.
