• Like the premium grade, this is also certified to BS3882:2015.
• It’s a natural fertile topsoil containing some small stones important for drainage and aeration.
• Moisture content will vary as topsoil is a natural occurring product. Between the months of October and April the soil may be more saturated than during Summer months. Due to the nature of the product, colour and consistency will vary from the pictures attached above.
• The darker the top soil is, the richer it is in nutrients. Rich, nutritive top soil is able to hold onto more water and it is packed with minerals from rock, sand, and organic matter. Greater nutrients and water availability mean topsoil is a catalyst for plant growth.
• Please note delivery is by a tail lift wagon and KERBSIDE DELIVERY ONLY. The tail lift must be able to access the road, street or lane; otherwise a alternative drop off point needs to be provided.

The British Standard Specification for Topsoil, BS3882:2007, was revised in late 2015 with a new standard BS3882:2015 – Specification for Topsoil and requirements for use. With the introduction of the revised standard, we believe other suppliers will have to be as forthcoming, to enable customers to make an informed choice, based on like for like comparisons.
